Being a Materialist or Being a Realist? Which One?
Today, I were interested with my friends questions. It's about her mate actually. Yeah you know, something like your-forever-ever-after-man. This question came because she thinks that it's not good to though it that way. Here is the question :
"Um, Is it not okay for me to seeking for a rich man to be my husband? Am I being a matrealist because of that?" -name is hidden-
It's interesting actually. Why? Isn't that a girl nature to seek for a man with bright future? I think yes! I do think the same things. If I were her, I would absolutely think it that way. Who isn't want to live peacefully without a burden about family funds problem? Nobody want to live poor, dear. NOBODY!
Everyone in this world want to live in a rich family. You, your family, my family, I and everyone in this world have the same kind of things in our minds.
Everyone thinks that live in peaceful are :
- have an unlimited money (or at least have enough money to live on)
- have a big house (or at least have a place to protect us from the sun and the rain)
- have an expensive clothes (or at least have a well clothes that can covering up the body)
- have an expensive transportation (or at least have a money to using public transportation)
- have everything you want in this world (or at least have everything you need in this world)
Is there anybody here that thinks my list is wrong or I've mistaken something? Of course not! When you read it, maybe, rather than correcting it, you will add some additional definition about live in piece (not rest in peace :D).
It's not materialistic I think!Let's Be realistic now!!! Is there anything in this world that doesn't require money? Everything need money! You need money to buy a clothes. You need money to buy a food. You need money to build a house. You need money to get a skill. Even you need money to get a job (because you need to go to school in order to get a skill for getting a job and for got ot school you need money to pay the school fee).You need money for everything.
Look carefully! You, If you are a boy, you sure have a requirement documents of the characteristics of you future wife, right? Like, (maybe) she must an independent girl, or she should able to cook a food for you, or have a good taste in fashion, or have a high education, etc beside the main requirement, like have a same religion.
We, a girl I mean, do have the same characteristics besides the first one. The girl want you as her "imam" or "leader" can lead and protect her in everything. It same goes from her family. They do hope you can mak a living for their girl. That's why, even if they don't literally "force" you to have a (good) job before you marrying their child, they always ask you to find it as soon as posible.
So, boy... don't say matrealistic to a girl who want to ensure their life with you. The materialistic girl just want to waste your money. But the realistic girl want live with you in peace.
